As UK consumers you are covered by a variety of Legislation designed to protect you the consumer. This not only covers Sale of Goods Acts but also Distance Selling Regulations which gives you the right to cancel an order and return any goods that may have already been dispatched, in addition to this our own returns policy extends this to a period of 21 days from day of purchase. In certain instances you will need to notify Cycleworld Customer Services of any damage/shortages within 7 days of receipt of goods in order to qualify for refund of postage. Please read Returns Policy section for full details.
We endeavor to provide accurate photos and descriptions of products on our website at all times, these are generally provided by the manufacturer and/or supplier. Individual products or product lines maybe subject to a minor change in specification or colour, this should not however, affect the overall performance you would expect from an item. You may find instances where an image is marked "illustration only", this generally means that the exact product image isn't available, ie. the the picture may show a brown bike although the description clearly states that it's white. Where this is the case you should assume the accuracy of the product description and not the picture. If you have any concerns then please contact Cycleworld Customer Care.
We strive to bring you quality products, quality service and affordable prices, we guarantee to Honor the prices shown on this site* and also endeavor to match any competitors web price for the same item. Prices shown on the website do not necessary reflect the prices advertised in store. Cycle World reserve the right to amend or withdraw any offer due to availability which may fluctuate with demand. If there is a problem with your purchase you will normally be notified within 24/48 hours of placing your order (timescale refers to working days/hours). Communication is one of the most important parts of our company, if you have any concerns then please contact Cycleworld Customer Care. *excludes clear price discrepancies due to system/data input errors.
Our guarantees should enhance the Statutory Rights that you have under UK Law.
All items we sell are covered by a manufacturer warranty. In the case of cycles we will send you a handbook with the bike which will state the warranty period. This is generally anything from one year to the lifetime of the product. Warranties generally cover failure of an item due to manufacturing defect, excluding general wear and tear (chain and tyre wear etc), abuse (crashing/jumping etc) and accidental damage. Accessories and clothing are generally warrantied between six months and one year and also cover manufacturers defect. For further information, please feel free to contact us. Please note that warranties are not transferable to subsequent owners and proof of purchase will be required to validate any claim.
If you are unhappy with a product, size or colour then we are happy to offer a full refund for the purchase price of the goods, excluding postage cost, you will also be liable for the cost of sending the item back to us. Goods received back must be in sale-able condition with all original labels and packaging. If you require another size or colour of the same item, then we will send you a replacement out at no additional cost. If you have a damaged or faulty item we will send you out a replacement as soon as the returned item is received. Please note that in order to receive a credit for your returned postage costs connected with a faulty item you must notify CycleWorld within 7 days of receipt of goods. Return postage costs refunds are limited to the same value as the original invoice amount charged for delivery, proof of posting/money receipt is required to obtain a credit/refund of postage costs back to CycleWorld. All returned items must be accompanied with the order reference number clearly written on the outside of the packet / parcel, failure to do so may result in a delay to the processing of your return.

As a business Cycle World and its employees make every effort to reduce any environmental impact that operating in today’s world may have. Our ‘green’ attititude is positively applied to many aspects of our business, from the recycling of waste material to the everyday working practices we employ. As part of our commitment to these issues and to comply with current legislation we offer ‘take back’ of your waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) when you make a purchase of a similar item from us. For instance, if you buy a set of lights then you are entitled to return your old set to us within 28 days of purchase. Your waste material should be returned to the branch where you made the purchase of your replacement. If you have purchased goods online then you should, at your own expense, return waste to the address below. The waste we collect is disposed of in an appropriate manner and in accordance with UK law and legislation. For more information on WEEE legistaltion please visit the Government website - http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/business/topics/waste/32096.aspx
"The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law. The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment. The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste equipment free of charge. The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK. Much of the UK's WEEE ends up in landfill, where the lead and other toxins it contains can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also human health. Distributors of new Electric and Electronic Equipment (EEE) have a part to play in reducing the amount of WEEE going into landfill sites. Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should now be marked with a crossed-out wheeled bin. Goods are marked with this symbol to show that they were produced after 13th August 2005, and should be disposed of separately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled."
